Honeywell Engineering Summer School
Honeywell Engineering Summer School (HESS) brings together 100 students from across NSW and the ACT who are genuinely interested in a career in engineering.
HESS is an initiative supported by Honeywell, Engineers Australia – Sydney Division, selected NSW Universities and participating Rotary Clubs.
Who can go?
HESS is open to students who will be entering Year 12 the following school year and are studying two units (or more) of Mathematics and a form of Science.
What is the aim?
Participants interact with Professional Engineers and engineering researchers and academics from a range of disciplines. Visits to industry provide valuable opportunity to see, first hand, the role of Professional Engineers in society.
Overall, the program provides students with insights into career opportunities available to men and women in engineering.
How much does it cost?
The sponsoring Rotary club pays approximately $695.00 per applicant.
