Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN)
The Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) began as an initiative of the Rotary Club of Belconnen in 1981, and now operates in many countries around the world. RYPEN aims to provide high school students with the opportunity to develop their leadership potential, alongside their peers in a supportive environment.
Who can go?
Students aged 14-16 years who are interested in: Making Friends, Developing Skills, Learning from one another, Sport, Music and Creative Arts.
What is the aim?
RYPEN encourages awardees to explore their ideas in problem solving, team and group activities, and gain experiences that will assist them in forming their own values and moral standards. As a part of this, RYPEN is about building confidence and developing skills to cope in a range of situations.
RYPEN provides:
- a positive stimulated and fun environment combining games, workshops, discussions, surprises, sports, music and creative arts.
- lots of good food.
- opportunities to exchange ideas and learn from one another.
- a chance to make new friends.
- an opportunity to achieve something special.
- a memorable opportunity to learn, grow have fun and make friends.
How much does it cost?
The sponsoring Rotary club pays approximately $280.00 per applicant.
